Define Installation Components

Define the components and subcomponents of your installation.

If you want to view descriptions about a specific component or subcomponent, highlight the field. Information appears in the Description field of the main window.

Installation Directory

Enter the directory where the Windchill Product Configurator software is to be installed. The Windchill Product Configurator creates new (variant) parts for generic parts whose parameter values do not match existing Windchill parts.

Some products require that you select an existing Windchill installation directory.

Platforms

Select the types of the machines that are to access this installation directory.

Components

Select the components you want to install by selecting the appropriate check boxes.

• Configuration Modeler—A Windchill Product Configurator application that provides the ability to define generic product families and associated configuration logic.
• Product Register—A Windchill Product Configurator application that automates the creation of the information necessary to develop and deliver the specific product ordered.
• Order Generator—A Windchill Product Configurator application that captures customer-specific product configurations through tailored interfaces. Also creates a standard order output that can be easily integrated with other business systems.

Languages

For Windchill Release 5.1, all Windchill-supported languages are automatically installed.

Disk Space

The available disk space for the installation directory specified is shown in the (Disk Space) Available field.

The disk space required to install the components selected is shown in the (Disk Space) Required field.
